To move further I need to address a VERY important point.
The reverberation injection is NOT Surround Sound, not multichannel and not any
know to us typical encodings: Dolby, AC3... etc. To be honest when I hear the
mentioning of Surround sound I ...

I am revising the architecture of my playback in context of benefits
of reverberation fields injection. Certainly, Macondo and Melquiades stay as
they are. I always had a pilot system that runs in parallel with Macondo driven
by a cold SS amp. I u...

Dear Sirs,Following Romy's the Cat Youtube series on reverberation injection, I started gathering info and looking for some equipment to start experimenting. I was lucky enough to get a relatively cheap Yamaha DSP-1 in perfect condition from Germany ...
Thank you! I’ve located anp paid for DSP3000. The RI speakers: what are your experiences/thoughts?I obviously miss bass energy with Dannoys. Logically, I should then look for bass capable satelites or this logic doesnt work?[/quot...

the language, what bill is doing is not reverb injection, bill is doing DSP.
Reverb injection is not DSP. Although how Romy conceived doing it does use
DSP.
It is not language confused but the actions ar...

This whole subject of acoustical reconstruction of performing whole by using reverberation channels is very complicated to discuss on audio forums. If visin many aspects of sound reproduction, better or worse, but we have constructed some c...

Pleeeeeeese, do not call what I was doing with reverberation
injection as “surround”. I hate the notion of “surround” and Bill and I constantly
have arguments about it. What I do has nothing to do with surrounding a listener
with sound but rather ...

I like the analogy with seasoning
a lot but there is an interesting twist in it. With RI you will not be able to
get a proper bass. You can get a lot atmospheric pressure in any of our small
rooms but that acoustic pressure does not create any psy...

Anthony, this is very interesting perspective. I associate my feeling in respect to sensitivity but you brought up the activity as something which certainly coupled with sensitivity. I do not think that we have a mythologically clean experiment h...

I did not record the video of this different reverberation ideas, probably will do this weekend. DSP 100 was fine, was supposed to dozen other units, before they reach the very end of the line which was DSP 3000. Look up a lot of amplifiers which...

Bill, it sounds like you have made a significant investment (time and resources) into (re)producing reverberation with your entire system, also setting time alignments of various drivers, across the board, and I assume you would not have gotten this ...

Thanks, I will look it up. My intentions for sure not to run my main channels over any type of digital transformation. I would like to have just very slight touch up with space treatment channels. Hopefully, Auro will be doing it more effectively the...

First of all, let to address the elephant in the room: whatever additional
DSP take place for reverberation or surrounds is applicable ONLY for reverberation
and has no connection of any kind to the main channels. This is the key and we
do not eve...

Yep, the Reverb
Injection is a very cool thing. I insisted in the past that it is practically
impossible to get good sound under 40-45 Hz in a listening room less than 600
sq feet. If you do have a very large room, then it is very hard to properly...

It is not necessary needs to be DSP 100. There are around a dozen of Yamaha DSP processors good for reverberations. I probably need to record a video about entering a reverberation injection world. If I have a time I will record it later on...

I had today a long listening session. I listened a whole Mahler Second and I can tell you that I was the best upperbass I ever heard from a playback. I am not kidding. The upperbass literally despaired in the new room but what it is being called up...

I very much do not subscribe to his views on single drivers, but his commentary on bass is not far from being accurate. He looks like, did not experiment with reverberation injection then he would change his mind.My comment:
I do not care about th...

I am trying to keep the discussion about midbass horns out of ULF thread, I guess if Rakesh would like he can create a separate thread dedicated to his specific installation and the design ideas. I would like to keep the content of the posts more...

Thank you Romy and others for the input! For the time being I will concentrate the efforts on the Yamahas.
No matter which approach you
decide on of the six, there will always be an improvement over stereo. One does

The last couple days I have experimented with Behringer
Virtualizer 3D FX2000 High-Performance 3D Multi-Engine Effects Processor. It is
pro machine, very non expensive that allows doing the same as Yamaha field processors
can do. I was hoping to u...

James,
I never tried or heard about DML or BMR type drivers. I
looked them up and a few things they do give me a cold shoulder. It is
not about a selection of driver type or the topology of front channels. I though
initially that it was impo...
The idea of high quality delay
makes me wonder if the delay effectively increases the virtual length of the
room - allowing longer wavelengths before the room Schroeder frequency is
reached. This would be a "softer" bass withou...
