Help with RF loop
fiogf49gjkf0d
I am in the process of setting up a DAW to record fm broadcast.  Recently I installed a M-Audio 2496 DAC in a computer to do the recording.  I am using a Yamaha T-85 tuner.  Prior to routing the i.c. cables through the DAC I had no background noise from rf interference.  In other words going direct from the tuner to my preamp it was noise free.

A local audio guy told me I probably have a RF loop in my connections. Since he did not elaborate I was hoping someone on the forum could help me understand what an RF loop in my connection is and how to solve it.

Currently I have a set of I.C. going from the tuner to the M-Audio dac and a set of I.C. going from the dac to the preamp.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Rgs.
