Aw crap. Does that mean I'm responsible for everything Bush does?
From historic perspective, yes we Americans are more responsible for what Bush does then Mozambiqueans for instance. A hundred years from now peo...

If you know how in some optical systems imagery get destroyed when an aperture getting closed to F64 or even smaller, then you understand what happens in compression driver when frequency get higher and spaces smaller. Yes, the proximity of wavelengt...
"another big selling point to me was the 505 being a low resonance compression driver.. there just aren't many drivers with a resonance in the 80 to 100 Hz range like this driver... I have just begun my playing, but am already quite...

We, the horn people, know what the compression drivers could do. The controlled dispersion, low distortions, low mechanical dependency, low magnetic anomalies, high efficiency, higher maximum dynamics and many-many more advance are well known. The te...

Hi Roman, hi all... intriguing post and interesting questions, as I've been for about 20 years a triode and, before, a tube user and a glowing-in-the-dark maniac. My experience...I purchased - years ago - an Hiraga 20W which I used as a bass enclosure...

Hi all
I have experimented a bit with rear tubes on compression drivers.
Chucked the back covers in a lathe and made a suitable hole
for the rear tube, matching the area behind the diaphragm.
Got "better" results to my ears with wool filled tub...

I just wish somewhere would show up a manufacturer that would be able to produces compression drivers (or any drivers!!!) with sonic objectives…

Unfortunately that will never happen...

Romy, no doubt the following derives wholly from my ignorance on the subject, but I have not been able to get away from a sense of "variable compression" with any compression horns I have tried. By "variable compression" I mean that the compres...

TAD TD-2002:I have been evaluating these without horns. Essentially, listening to them without the horns, but also with original horns. No difference, as I will describe what I am hearing in both configurations (applies to their high frequency reprod...

I know there are some people who would read the following and will consider that I am out of my mind but it is OK by me. I have no convincing explanations of the phenomena but I might testify that the phenomena does exist - my Injection C...

I was listening last night a string quartet rehearsal. The play was for the most part justifiably non-so-glorious and I was thinking about my little audio things. For sure our upper MF drivers nowhere near where they need to be. There is too much...

Just a quick note.I tired a JBL 3" compression driver 2490h model with original Titanium diaphragms on a 120 hz Tacrix horn. I got a response down to 200 hz. How did it sound? It sounded good clear and transparent but it lacked a little tone imho...

A six year ago or so when I played with different compression drivers I bought a pair of Dukane 5A540 and at that time I was not able to find any information about them. Nowadays I was pointed out that an eBay sealer “ bayleafs” actions a pair of Duk...

I have written in past about my lack of love to the BMS drivers. The crazy, as far as I concerned “annoyingly wiling” angeloitacare brought this subject to this forum while he was galloping across Web, “picking from graves” about his new dB-Design’s ...
