Phil,
as I can see most of your horns, if not all of them, in one or other way explore the baby-cheek idea. Are any specific reasons why you employ the baby-cheek so heavily? I know the basic theory about the baby-cheek radiation pattern (something that might be considered as default answer) but I do not find the explanation satisfying. In fact I personally call baby-cheek as “diffraction horns”….
So, did you have a chance to make identical horn with tractrix profile (for instance) and the baby-cheeks, listen them both and compare own observation? I do not have this experience and if you do then it would be educational to learn. The only baby-cheeks that I head were the “ready to go” assemblies that inherent the idiosyncrasies of the specific drivers and therefore it was imposable to abstract out from that Sound the contribution of the horn’ profile… Rgs, Romy the Cat
