I did not use or know anyone who uses anything by Borbely but Placette basically is the same idea – a discrete op-amp. It has also a proprietary switchable voltage divider and assembling is “made for transparency”. If not Placette then I still would look into the world of discrete op-amps of SS amps in my quest for “absolutely transparent line-level devise”. Placette is just is less expensive then anything else in my case as it has “out of box” solution. Only God knows how much time and efforts I would spend to accomplish with my own buffer the same level of transparency as Placette has.Rerurn to Romy the Cat's Site
