It directs to a "brochure" jpg with no information about any amp. Would you care to develope your opinion about the "interesting amp" by de Lima? I would like to know why in spite of not finding its sound of any special interest, you still find it worth any attention. Reading his explanations about Timbre Lock, PTS and ASTAT I wonder if this is just marketing BS or it really means anything that can be useful to get some interesting results using commercial, average lowish sensivity loudspeakers.
Antonio, I fixed the link.

Yes, a much of what said in there might be viewed as marketing BS. What is a different between marketing BS and the valuable features that do make differences? It is complicated questions and I am not sure that all “features” that enumerated at AUDIOPAX site do make scene.

I had quite good exposure to Model 88. It was not the “best amp that I head” but I did not have it is a conditions where any “best amp” should be evaluated. Still, the Model 88 had some interesting “twist” that made it to settle down in my memory as “tailored amp”, not a lot of amp had this privilege…

I spoke with Eduardo couple of times, very briefly and it was always very interning to observe how his mind works. Most of the manufactures that I spoke, if they are not juts idiots, then they are narcissistic jerks who are in constant defense of their pathetic status quo. With Eduardo is different. He does not try to empress you, to thrill you, to humble you or to sanctify you. He rather listens and then tries to find within himself reflections of what he heard. It makes Eduardo very perceptive and able him to react in accordance to you needs. Ironically his amps (at least the Model 88) have, in a way, the similar quality. They kinds of embracing and agreeable, polite but with integrity…  I feel it is a sign of a great engendering mind that enabled machinery to react in according to human communication patterns.

As I said, I do not know how much marketing BS in what Eduardo express at his site. However, that there are companies that honestly say “Truth” (as they know it) and upon looking at the results and at the people I have a very firm sentiment that it was  a pure BS. In case of Eduardo, however, I feel different. No mater what kind BS he says I wish him keep talking….
