OK, it is another direct-heated amp with Russian GM-100
driven by a pair of 6N6P. There are many GM-100 amps out there and it certainly
a good candidate for high power SET amp.
I never heard of this amp or even never heard about the company, and I
have no business comment about it besides noticing that usually the design is
very nice. Where however I do feel uncomfortable that they report bandwidth between
9Hz-70.000Hz at 3dB. They use amorphous core transformers that tend to be short
for inductivity there is absolutely no way they can get 9Hz. Looking at the dumpling
factor claims they made they play with remaping the transformer sections and
yes with some very idle setting you can punch the amp to response very high but
in this setting the amp will not be listenable full bandwidth. Did they measure
70,000Hz with super idle tube and 9Hz with super loaded tube? If so, then it is
very dishonest and in those extreme configurations the amp is hadley usable for full bandwidth sound.Rerurn to Romy the Cat's Site
