Still being pissed that my second arm/cartridge does not sound as good as my first one I decides to get another phono DIN-RCA cable – I have my reasons to be suspicions now about my kinky Micro Fat cable. So, talking about different manufacturers some of them stressed that third cables are deep-cryogenically treated. I asked one guy if exes any shallow- cryogenically treated cable and I do not think he liked me after that.
I do not question the alleged benefits of cryogenic treatment, but I do know the industry. The majority of the manufacturers are bottom-eaters who would kill themselves for a single penny and they will cheat, lie and steal if they can get away with it. The guys who buy for $150 at flea market 5 mile of wire, cut it, put it in fancy tubing and sell the cables for $1000 are the worse and I very much doubt that they do anything with cables that user can’t confirm. So, I wonder: is any ways to check if a wide was exposed to cryogenic treatment? I am sure that with electronic microscope, knowledge what to look for or with some kind of burning the wire in from of infrared spectroscoper it might be possible to tell if the wire was exposed to cryogenic treatment. However, is any way to do it without any high technology or knowledge?
