Well, the first hurdle is matching efficiency from a dynamic driver to over-the-top horns like yours; but perhaps for others with somewhat lower efficiency horns...

I have had my eye on this one to pair with the neutered Reps on an OB, wide range, about 400 Hz - 6k Hz, in a sort of asymetrical, doubled DEBZ, with built-in Oops.
This guy could do maybe 101-2 dB in an open baffle, but I have not yet troubled myself to find out how big that baffle would have to be, so no idea how that mught compromise the initial idea of a space advantage.
Supravox also makes an Alnico version of this driver that might actually be better suited to the target you suggest, since it is somewhat more efficient in just that limited frequency range.
