I'd still like to find that store, it was kind of cozy and entertaining to browse. I don't know how I lost the link and why I stopped checking it. My bad. Maybe it doesn't exist already.I got a fake copy XRCD of a jazz album at Amazon. I try being ca...

I've been checking the links page in this site, also performed several searches on Google, but I can't find a shop where we purchased some rare and hard to find CDs, many of them by the Melodiya, Hungaroton, Lys, Boheme, Great Hall and Olympia labels...

I haven't checked the site for a long while, and I find this. Congratulations, Romy. I'm very glad for you :)...
|
I didn't imply she's sharing the same love for music and its reproduction, just that she's willing to share Romy's life which comes with those features in the package....
|
Truly wishing the couple all the best. It's amazing you found a lady wishing to share your love for music and your demanding audio requirements. She must be rather unique and be loving you deeply....

I'm surprised to read such a trolling post in this forum. Romy must be ageing to allow these things. H-T maybe you're not clever enough to realize that your own post includes opposite meanings. Something ideally perfect by definition cannot be improv...

I want to share with you that the CD that Romy found with the Michelangeli's performance of the Emperor with the Paris Orchestra and Celibidache is available at Music and Arts (scroll down to find the 2 Michelangeli CDs they have) with reference:CD-4...

I'm still in a burn-in phase. I'm having little time these days for some serious listening with loudspeakers, and the unit must have about 30 hours playing time. I have the DA-11 hooked to a headphone amplifier and I'm using different cans. As a tran...

I got it yesterday from the Spanish distributor. First thing was bringing it here to the computer to try the USB feature. The PC recognized it immediately as USB audio device. Without reading the instructions manual, something I usually do - not read...

I didn't know it has a SD slot behind. I wonder if it could read music files from the memory card, it'd be great to save you the hassle of burning a DVD-R of music you don't know if you'll be listening in the future. For that very same reason, maybe ...

So I just need to click "open files" I add all the ones into a given work and the program plays them in a row. Probably sound quality is not near of what you get from your software, but considering how handicapped is the system I use, I really don't ...

in aiff format and listening to it in my very modest secondary rig. It's a PC with a two modules soundcard 24/96 capable, using Windows XP. For playback I'm using Foobar (I lost a copy of other more adequate software that I was sent on a computer cra...

I was considering this unit to set up a modest high resolution files playback system in my main rig. I'd play the downloaded files on a portable computer to feed via USB this toy. A friend of mine is purchasing one of these from the Spanish distribut...

Very nice performance indeed. I wish I had that much noise you're "suffering" hahaha. Here that noise level is only present on very good days. Usually it's quite higher. How do you feel about AS Mutter? IMO she's getting more meaningful as she ages....

So I've taken a look at it. You can mount 2 different motors, one to control azimut and other for height. Every single motor costs 595 euros, and having both combined goes to 920 euros. Looks like the control system (PC compatible by RS232 link) is i...

Considering that PP2000 isn't plugged into a dedicated line and that line can be shared by other electric devices plugged into the grid, I wonder if the hum noise is getting into the PP2000 not from the ground wire, but the neutral wire for some defe...

Amazon UK shops Current price is 9.99 GBP. The store seems to have about 10 units left. Including shipping to Spain I've been billed GBP 11.78. Looks like a great deal indeed....

I wonder if you can do some "sound forecast" just by looking at them. The drivers seem to be of some sort of synthetic plastic material, which were true, I fear wouldn't sound much of my liking. They remind me of the Watt&Puppy, Joseph... and som...

would be lining the port, probably its outer surface looking at the enclosure's "void", with Dynamat Xtreme. Depending on the enclosure resonances and own port's sound it could be useful placing some Dynaxorb sheet inside the enclosure at the opposit...

Hehehe I think that was our first interchange at AA. I used that system on my former TT a Project whose arm doesn't have a calibrated scale for VTA adjustment. It's very practical indeed....

but for the sound it could well be: http://www.rozhlas.cz/d-dur/download_eng It's a performance by the Czec Radio on period instruments. It can be downloaded in Flac format and then converted to wav to burn a CD or whatever. I've just listened to it ...

I haven't tried your experiment myself, but for your description, I agree that one second is too much time to get the suspension back to its rest state. Maybe the coils develop some capacitive charge that needs some time to bleed.Rgrds....
Nope, it has nothing to do nether neither with electro-magnetic drivers nor with classic notion of traducing channels. Think about out the movie “Man in Black” and about the size of the Galaxy … The caT
:D LOLI'll h...
Nope, it will be done at electro-magneto-acoustical domain. No helmet will be involved ether. The Cat
I suppose you'll use an electro-magnetic driver instead of a fixed magnetic field one, whose magnetic field would...

that's why I find this 7th channel thing extremely interesting. This is becoming a fun guessing game. Maybe by telling us how are you considering to implement it we could guess what for is it going to be used.I don't find that difficult understanding...

A friend once recommended me to use a wet cloth to slightly moist the tonearm's upper side to avoid electrostatic building up, before playing each record's side. It works wonderfully, especially here in my city which is very dry and electro...

but maybe their teachers still play "old" CDs and vinyls, hence the suggestion. When I was a teenager at High School they had a modest vinyl system, our music teacher played some vinyls for us, and later at the exam, we had to recognize the piec...

That's what I'd do. Maybe a High School or Music School that already has a room for allowing the kids listening to recorded music. If they hadn't the means for LP playback, I'd get them some sturdy and decent sounding TT.Sometimes I feel th...

If not working on the HF to get the ambiance, which probably would be the "moronic" way to accomplish it, then is it some lower bass? There's a hint on Romy's comment about his new tuner having better low bass response than any other source. Perhaps ...
